Decide what makes it into CRM
Not every researched lead should become a net-new CRM record automatically. Some teams want full import, others want a reviewed queue first. The rule should be explicit.
Preserve evidence fields
Source URL, why-now note, freshness date, and confidence should survive into the handoff system. If those fields disappear, sales loses the context that makes the lead useful.
Treat enrichment and routing as separate steps
Research, dedupe, routing, and ownership should not be collapsed into one opaque automation. Clean separation keeps the workflow auditable.
